Liverpool – Where to stay?

The vibrant city offers a vast range of chic hotels, family accommodation, budget hotels and many bed and breakfast establishments and guest houses if you are wondering where to stay in Liverpool.

The Crown Plazza, a newly built stylish hotel which has full leisure facilities is situated on the popular Albert Docks. The Thistle Atlantic Hotel is built in an unusual ship-shape and is right in the heart of the city close to the Liver Building with magnificent views over the river Mersey.

For hotels that offer excellent accommodation but are not quite so pricey the Campanile and the Dolby can be found within the same areas of the city.

The Holiday Express Inn is among the hotels in the dock area and offers a comfortable base from which to explore the sights.

For those who wish to spend there time doing some retail therapy there are a number of hotels located in the heart of the shopping area. The Marriott City Centre hotel is a luxurious place to stay and comes with a leisure club and fine dining. The Holiday Inn has recently under gone refurbishment and provides good value for money.

People finding where to stay in Liverpool on a smaller budget may like to try the John Moores and Hope Universities which rent out accommodation during both the Easter and summer breaks. There is also an International Youth Hostel and Embassie Independent Hostel in the centre of the city.

Beatles fans can really push the boat out and opt to stay in Hard Days Night Hotel, which has been specifically designed to capture key events in the lives of all four Beatles. The hotel is opposite the Cavern Club in the ‘Beatles Quarter’ of the city and full of bespoke, contemporary and visual designs. This is not for those deciding where to stay in Liverpool on a limited budget!
